Spring has arrived this week with trumpets blaring the Daffodils have finally shown their colours and to celebrate I set up the table and chairs in the front garden. Our cottage is on a popular route for walkers and over the years we have made many friends who walk their dogs past our home. One particular friend recently had heart surgery and struggles to do the full circuit so we have the table and chairs set up in the front garden to enable him to stop and have a rest on his trip.
Ah, that is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lived in Indiana, my Tavish (part schnauzer) and I would set on the front porch all day everyday. We got to know all the fur~babies and their companions . . . I miss those days and so many of the animals, including Tavish, and their humans are no longer with us :0{

ReplyDeleteHi Lesley,
DeleteThanks for stopping by, I will get some photo's up together, unfortunately, while the bathroom is being re-vamped it seems to affect the whole house so I will wait until himself has finished and I can restore April Cottage from a builders yard back to a home xx
What a great vase, how nice to meet people out on their walks and you to give them a place to rest.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think we got it from a car boot a few years ago for pennies. It's just the right size for a small posie of flowers. Have a great day
